The Times Good University Guide 2011 has listed Nottingham Trent as the 10th most popular higher education institution in the UK.

The university experienced a 24% rise in applications last year, and jumped six places in the guide.

Nottingham Trent was also listed in the Times Higher Education magazine as one of its top ten "upwardly mobile places", thanks to a 37% increase in applications when 2009 was compared to 2006.

Nottingham Trent University vice-chancellor Professor Neil Gorman said: "These figures reflect our continued popularity. We've experienced significant year-on-year growth in total applications during the last few years, boosted by our excellent reputation - in particular our employability record, which remains one of the best in the UK."
